    Frequently asked questions

How can I tell whether a photo contains a location?

In Windows, right-click the photo, choose Properties and open the Details tab. If the GPS section is filled in, the photo contains a location.

Does this change the photo quality?

The dimensions stay the same. JPG is saved again at 92 % quality, so the difference is not visible.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Your browser processes the photos right on your computer or phone. Not a single image is sent to our server, so you can safely use the tool for private photos too.

    Is the tool free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of photos. The only limit is the performance of your device.

Is EXIF data or GPS location kept in the photo?

No. The processed photo contains no metadata (EXIF, GPS location or camera details). The photo is still rotated correctly according to its original orientation.
