Frequently asked questions
Why 1080 px wide?
Instagram displays photos 1080 px wide. It scales larger photos down itself, often losing sharpness, and enlarges smaller ones.
Will an important part of my photo be cut off?
The crop is taken evenly from the centre. If the main subject is near the edge, choose “Fit within”, which does not crop the photo.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Your browser processes the photos right on your computer or phone. Not a single image is sent to our server, so you can safely use the tool for private photos too.
Is the tool free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of photos. The only limit is the performance of your device.
Is EXIF data or GPS location kept in the photo?
No. The processed photo contains no metadata (EXIF, GPS location or camera details). The photo is still rotated correctly according to its original orientation.
