Frequently asked questions
How do I resize a photo without losing quality?
Quality is preserved when you reduce the dimensions with a quality setting around 85 %. The tool scales down in several steps so the photo stays sharp.
Which mode should I choose?
“Fit within” keeps the aspect ratio and never distorts the photo. “Exact size” crops the photo to the given size, for example for a square profile picture.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Your browser processes the photos right on your computer or phone. Not a single image is sent to our server, so you can safely use the tool for private photos too.
Is the tool free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of photos. The only limit is the performance of your device.
Is EXIF data or GPS location kept in the photo?
No. The processed photo contains no metadata (EXIF, GPS location or camera details). The photo is still rotated correctly according to its original orientation.
